More aikido koshi nage

One of these days I'm going to start introducing more of this into aikido class. We have a lot of folks who do judo, too, so I wouldn't think it would be that much of a stretch.

  1. About 20 years ago, I was doing Judo with Kim Laney every Saturday morning before Aikido class. On the day I learned O-goshi, Mark Morgan and I stuck around for Aikido randori outside the rec center after class. I started catching him with Aikido-style koshi-nage without meaning to, or ever practicing it. It just flowed naturally, from the Force. I think that's why Tomiki didn't have a lot of it in his Aikido. Also, Ueshiba's koshinage is from Yagyu-ryu not Daito-ryu.
